Job Summary

Love creating content that’s fun, visual, and meaningful? Join us to produce engaging videos, graphics, and social media posts that spread awareness and build branding for our work in the environmental, citizen science, and digital literacy spaces.

You’ll also be someone who enjoys writing longer-form content—getting hands-on to attend field work, community play-tests, and workshops, turning real-world impact and user testing into compelling blog posts. We’re looking for someone constantly curious and ready to learn more about the world!

Key Responsibiities

  • Work with the Content Head to plan and create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and blog articles.
  • With the Content Head, film, edit, and publish short-form videos using current social media trends.
  • Attend community workshops, user research sessions, and field work to capture photos, video snippets, and insights to craft story-driven blog posts.
  • Design attractive graphics, thumbnails, and other social media collateral.
  • Write engaging captions and schedule posts.
  • Work closely with the Content Head to brainstorm new content ideas.
  • Monitor social media performance and suggest improvements based on analytics.
  • Stay updated with the latest social media trends.
  • Being comfortable as an on-screen presence for sme videos and reels would be a plus.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related fields.
  • 2–3 years of experience in social media marketing or content creation.
  • Creative storyteller with an eye for aesthetics and an interest in documenting real-world community stories.
  • Photography and videography skills (including capturing live field events and workshops).
  • Video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
  • Graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube algorithms.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of the camera, if need be.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and excited to get hands-on in the field.
